~*~ The small little things~*~ (to my adorable silent reader who asked for more poetry ;)

Viva to the small little thing\s
With the joys they bring

Viva to a small coffee cup
Sitting Between the two
Sharing smiles
Laughter
A point of view!

Viva to a moment of care
A smile to share
A step to dare!

Viva to a delicate bloom
Brightening up a room
Erasing gloom!

Viva to you
A being of intricate hue/s
Sometimes realizing clues
At times blinded by your own blues
But always hopeful
Always wishful
Realizing that there is a new day
To start anew
to find another way
to be perfectly You!
Through and through!

A wonderful song with such strong words ((Awaken by Maher Zain))

Quote of the day: (changing the world)

If you can change the mood in a room, by meeting warmly, appreciating sincerely, listening deeply and speaking authentically, then have no doubt that you are one of those who are truly changing the world —Nithya Shanti

10 ways to think Positively No matter what!

1. Count your blessings at the end of every day – don’t focus on the problems you’ve faced that day; rather, think of all the good things that happened and the happiness they gave you.
2. Think of others rather than yourself – when you do things, even the smallest favors, for other people who mean something to you, you feel good about yourself.
3. Be proactive rather than reactive – instead of fretting over a problem and letting it stress you out, focus on how to resolve quickly and effectively. When your mind is busy trying to find a solution, you stop feeling sorry for yourself and start thinking positively.
4. Don’t allow your mind to remain idle – it may be clichéd, but it’s also true that an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. So stay busy and keep doing something or the other to prevent negative thoughts from creeping in.
5. Get an hour of exercise every day – even a brisk walk in the morning or evening will do your mental health a world of good.

6. Allow yourself some “me” time
 – set aside some time every day or every few days for yourself when you get to choose what you want to do; read a book, listen to music, catch up with friends, or just laze around. When your soul is nourished, you find that positive energy flows.
7. Stop negative thoughts before they form completely – if you find yourself becoming depressed because your mind is taking a negative bent, stop those thoughts in their tracks and start consciously thinking of positive things.
8. Spend time with people who love you and make you feel good about yourself – quality relationships make life worth living.
9. Anytime you feel that the weight of your burden is hard to bear, talk to a friend or someone with a sympathetic ear – even if they cannot do anything to help you out, just the fact that you have someone on your side is uplifting enough.
10. And finally, look around you before you start to feel sorry for yourself – there are people in situations that are a hundred times worse than yours, yet they manage to get through each day.
So tell yourself that you have a good life, count your blessings, and learn to stay positive no matter what.

The creativity & the joy of our last class

Our last class
My Last Class with group 7 (1st term-1432/33)

Amazing how a whole semester went by so quickly!

Teaching group 7 this term was a pleasure. It was delightful and refreshing to wake up in the morning and meet these young, smart, hardworking and cheerful ladies of group 7. I loved their enthusiasm , interest and lovely spirits.

On Sunday (30 / 1/ 1433 AH -25/12/2011), I met them for our last class and we had so many things to do on that day. We listed the "things to do" on the board and started finishing them up one at the time. We ended up the day with a wonderful creative activity that brought such smiles and sunshine to the room.
Here are some photos of the creative pieces they produced by the end of the activity ;)

Presentation Day (A thank You note)

Glitter Text

Wednesday the 26th of Muharram, 1433 (21-12-2011) was the appointed day for my students (G7) to present their presentations and for me to sit in the audience seat and evaluate their work.

I didn't really expect what was waiting for me on that day.
My students surpassed my expectations in many ways:
1- Their language proficiency has improved in a clear noticeable day.

2- Their confidence as they stood and present their topics in English was admirable.

3-I was happy to see that they have followed my instructions and tried their best to apply all the points in the presentation checklist , which I gave them.

4- I was so thrilled to see the shining wonderful sparks of their creativity and enthusiasm.

5-It was clear to me that they have put so much effort and time into their work.

6-Their generosity was overwhelming as they distributed stuff , brochures, cupcakes, food, souvenirs , flowers, and so many things that are related one way or another to the topic of their presentations.

7- Their cheerful attitude and respect towards this whole project was something to be happy about.

For all these reasons and more, I'd like to heartily thank my students Group 7 and wish them the very best as they walk their road and harvest the success of their hard work.

Here are photos of some of the things that have been used or given during the presentation day ;)

Thank you ,
